The fort has so many artefacts like this. Small glimpses into the recent past which have not actually been restored, but are left on show as nature slowly gets the better of them. That is one mighty hot water tank!

Water tanks like these were used By The British Royal Air Force as emergency water supply for fire extinguishing purposes. Maldives was formerly a British protectorate. Gained Independance on July 26, 1965.
